SMART Recovery - face to face meetings

SMART Recovery is a free self-help program that helps with any problematic behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, shopping and more.

Conducted by trained people. Participants come to help each other using various elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational tools and techniques.

SMART Recovery is a 4-Point Program whose goals are;

1. Strengthening and maintaining motivation

2. Dealing with hunger

3. Dealing with thoughts, feelings and behaviors

4. Life in balance.

What to expect at SMART Recovery meetings;

-Weekly meetings

-Each meeting lasts approximately 90 minutes

-Meetings are conducted by trained people

-They focus on the addictive behavior, not the substance itself

-Setting and setting your own achievable goals

-Focused on the present and future, not the past (no life story!)

-The tools and techniques used are based on science (cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational dialogue)
