Crisis intervention is a form of psychological assistance aimed at supporting a person experiencing a crisis and helping to solve the problem. The intervention is interdisciplinary in nature, because the crisis affects all areas of human functioning.
The main task of crisis intervention is to restore basic security and balance to a person who has found themselves in a difficult life situation, usually resulting from an external situation. It consists of dealing with current emotions and identifying the resources of the person so that they can cope with the crisis situation.
Other specialists from various fields are allowed to participate in crisis interventions: psychologists, lawyers, social workers, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, educators and others.

Eckhart Tolle
At CKU we conduct crisis interventions in person and online.
The number of meetings depends on the nature of the crisis and the individual predispositions of the person using the intervention and their ability to cope with a given difficulty.
Crisis intervention is not psychotherapy, which means that during it we do not analyse the causes of the problem and do not work on the possibilities of avoiding similar problems in the future.
